Where can we read it?
David Barr Kirtley says
Well, I mean, I just finished it. Now I have to sell it. That can take years, unfortunately. Some magazines take 6-12 months to respond, and you’re only supposed to send a story to one magazine at a time. And there’s certainly no guarantee that any given story will sell anywhere. I have 50+ unsold stories lying around. If this story sells I’ll certainly announce it here. Or you can check my “Stories” page for updates.

good luck!
btw, do you use anything like critters.org, or do you just set your drafts free and hope for the best?

Virtually all my published stories were workshopped at some point, either at a summer workshop like Clarion or Odyssey, or in the MFA program I did at USC, or in a group I used to belong to in New York. After ten years of continuous workshopping I kind of got burned out on it, and at the moment I’m not doing it, so the only feedback I’m getting prior to publication is from rejection letters and editorial suggestions. And of course I also get feedback in the form of reviews and comments once a story is published, which I take into account moving forward.
